This black-and-white photograph captures the iconic Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) in Venice, Italy. Built in the early 1600s, the fully enclosed Baroque bridge, crafted from white Istrian stone, connects the Doge’s Palace to the New Prison across the Rio di Palazzo canal. Its English name, popularized by Lord Byron, refers to the legend that prisoners would “sigh” at their final glimpse of Venice through the small, barred windows before imprisonment. Gondolas float quietly beneath the bridge, adding a serene Venetian touch to the scene.
The Atelier Collection blends artistry and craftsmanship in a perfect balance of aesthetics and quality. Each piece is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail and refined finishing. The frames are available in several variations – from classic wooden to beautifully carved designs with subtle golden accents.
The artwork is protected by crystal-clear 2 mm glass and complemented by a white passe-partout that enhances the overall composition. The passe-partout width varies depending on the artwork size: for 40x50 cm it measures 50 mm on each side, for 60x70 cm 75 mm, and for 60x80 cm 100 mm. The frame moulding thickness remains consistent.
Printing is executed with exceptional precision and depth of color on a professional fine art printer, ensuring every tone, texture, and shade is rendered exactly as the artist intended.
The proportion of the frame’s thickness relative to the artwork may vary slightly in the image depending on the chosen size of the artwork.
