This photograph captures artist Pablo Picasso in 1949 as he creates his famous “light drawings,” photographed by Gjon Mili. Mili, a pioneer of stroboscopic photography, had shown Picasso his images of ice skaters with lights attached to their skates, inspiring the artist to experiment with the technique. Working in a darkened room with a small electric light and long exposures, Picasso’s drawings appeared and vanished instantly. What began as a 15-minute experiment extended into five sessions, producing around 30 light drawings of various figures, including centaurs, bulls, and Greek profiles.
The Atelier Collection blends artistry and craftsmanship in a perfect balance of aesthetics and quality. Each piece is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail and refined finishing. The frames are available in several variations – from classic wooden to beautifully carved designs with subtle golden accents.
The artwork is protected by crystal-clear 2 mm glass and complemented by a white passe-partout that enhances the overall composition. The passe-partout width varies depending on the artwork size: for 40x50 cm it measures 50 mm on each side, for 60x70 cm 75 mm, and for 60x80 cm 100 mm. The frame moulding thickness remains consistent.
Printing is executed with exceptional precision and depth of color on a professional fine art printer, ensuring every tone, texture, and shade is rendered exactly as the artist intended.
The proportion of the frame’s thickness relative to the artwork may vary slightly in the image depending on the chosen size of the artwork.
Each design is a unique creation of Imagio Studio. Please respect our artistry — copying or unauthorized use is not allowed.
